Role: Design Lead / Competitive Research
Description: Outdoor Research (OR) was looking to update its main commerce site.
Challenge: The current website didn't make good use of the beautiful photography assets they had and didn't represent the mature brand OR had become.
Action: We proposed new interactions that start the purchase journey sooner, highlight the gear quicker, and also expose the core strength of the products. We also introduced new ways of using the photography that highlights the athletes and shows off their favorite gear. We also created new navigation architecture ideas that showcase sport categories.
Outcome: They loved the use of photography and the way the site showed highlighted the features of the gear.
